Pro-Cut Converting frequently slits master rolls of unidirectional carbon prepreg into narrow width tapes for use in mandrel wrapping applications. Pancake-style subrolls can be produced with widths as small as 0.25".
Tape produced via single knife method
Various slitting methods are used depending on material characteristics. Rewind or single knife slitting are the most common. For very tolerance-sensitive applications, rotary die slitting is also available.
